What a magnificent sight – a cluster of hundreds white, star-shaped flowers that form a massive flower ball! Allium Mount Everest is amazingly tall and grows at least 1 meter above all other flowers in the garden. The maximum height of this sturdy flower can reach up to 125 cm in length and it is one of the tallest members of the allium family. This allium is named after the highest mountain in the world – Mount Everest, due to its massive height and show-white flowers.
Allium belongs to the same family as garlic and onion, that is why it’s called an “ornamental onion”. Make sure to plant your allium in a dry and well-drained (sandy) soil and open areas with full sun.
